Matthew 4: 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Virtual – WGN posts scriptures to study each month and provides an on-line forum for open discussion of the scriptures by the WGN members. It is our prayer that this forum is used to facilitate Godly discussion of the scriptures chosen for study on a monthly basis.
In-Person – The WGN forum provides a capability to find prayer partners and bible study groups. WGN members are encouraged to prayerfully seek women with whom you can study the Word of God. Also, the Word of God will be studied and discussed at every WGN quarterly brunch.

Matthew 21: 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Virtual – Prayer Requests can be emailed to prayerrequests@womenofgodnetwork.org.
There is an opportunity to submit prayer requests through our website, on-line forum, Facebook, and Twitter.
In-Person – WGN holds corporate prayer sessions once a month at various locations and invites all members of WGN to participate.
Fasting

Matthew 9: 15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
Virtual – Members of WGN have an opportunity to connect with each other through our on-line forum to pray and fast as partners. Fasting is an integral part of our walk with the Lord and is encouraged by WGN.
In-Person – As prompted by the Holy Spirit, WGN may ask that WGN members prayerfully consider fasting with the Board at certain times throughout the year. If that is the case, we will make this request to the members via email, Facebook, and/or Twitter. We will gather for prayer before the fast begins.

Matthew 18: 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Virtual – Through the WGN website and on-line forum, women have the opportunity to fellowship virtually. There is the opportunity to share information about upcoming church events, pose questions to the women in the network, and share scripture as well as life lessons related to various areas of life. The on-line forum allows us to fellowship on a regular basis with women all across the country.
In-Person – WGN hosts quarterly brunches that are designed to give women of God an opportunity to fellowship and network with each other. The brunches will be held in July, October, January, and April each year. The WGN Board provides the food and the scripture for discussion, but all WGN members have the opportunity to share their thoughts. The brunch events are hosted in the Washington D.C. area. The brunches are designed in a manner that facilitates open discussion. We also encourage our members at a distance to create a local chapter of WGN and host a brunch in your local area. Luke 12:42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Virtual – Through the WGN website and on-line forum, women have the opportunity to give of their time, talents, and money. The WGN website has a donate button that will allow you to give to our scholarship program. Our scholarship program is designed to help women of God further their education despite financial resource limitations. WGN awards scholarships based on service to the Kingdom of God and academic excellence.
In-Person – WGN makes available opportunities for its members to volunteer throughout the year. WGN plans to schedule events that will allow our members to volunteer around the Washington DC area and we encourage our members in other areas to schedule similar events and post the event details on the forum to garner participation by other WGN members in your area(s). The volunteer opportunities may include but are not limited to reading to children in the hospital, visiting senior centers, and volunteering at battered women’s centers. WGN will also have regular meetings of our committee members.

The Women of God Network’s (WGN) purpose is to provide a forum for women to encourage and equip each other to grow and take the authority given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that we will all live lives pleasing to our Father in Heaven. WGN members will encourage and equip each other to be victorious women of God in every area of our lives. One of our first areas of focus to encourage our sisters in Christ across the country is education.
Scholarship Process
WGN would like to announce the scholarship application period is once again open. WGN launched the scholarship program back in June of 2013. The scholarship program is designed to help women of God continue their education despite financial resource constraints.
